Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy
Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy
My experience enables me to provide individualized, outpatient psychological care and counseling. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups regarding a variety of issues in a nonjudgmental and supportive therapy environment.
My focus is to help individuals heal, grow, and become aware of their inner strengths. I strive to help my clients examine and improve their relationships with themselves, others, and the world around them in order to make positive changes in life and reduce existing pain, struggles, and fears.
I promise to be there to support you on your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Therapy goals are collaboratively set and are individualized for each client's therapy process.
Something has to change...now. I am truly heartbroken walking around in this world and seeing people gazing at their feet, absently shuffling through the motions of life, wearing the relevant mask of the moment to preserve the fragile image that they are doing just fine. Except that they’re not fine, not even close...they are lost, broken, and afraid.
Are you tired of being one of those suffering people? Having lived too long in the prison of your own life, shackled by societal expectation and held captive by the opinions of others? Trying desperately to just survive in this world, but drowning in the pressure of being the person or living the life the way that you “should” be? Not loving the person you have become while trying to fit into a cookie-cutter mold that fits someone else’s vision of perfect?
My life felt like that for a long time: I had a mask for every occasion and nearly destroyed myself trying to maintain the image of the picture-perfect life I had cultivated for myself over the course of my adult years. I was dying inside; but, then I realized that didn’t have to be the rest of my story. I decided enough was enough; I chose to spend the rest of my life truly living, instead of merely trying to survive.
I have a burning passion for helping people learn how to live their truth, so that the masks can be discarded in favor of living an authentic life. I want to empower and equip you to discover your own truth and to live life unapologetically as yourself. This is a call to arms: I am starting a revolution for lost and wandering souls. It is time to learn to create your own future rather than following a script for a character that doesn’t authentically fit who you are. If you are tired of living a lie, or wandering lost in the darkness, or feeling broken from your history or current existence...then I hope you come join me.
If you have the courage to try to do things differently, then come on this journey with me, and discover the freedom of living as an outlaw fighting the tyranny of the “Shoulds”. Enough is enough; let me support you in breaking free from the cage of convention and learn to enjoy the hard-won liberty of an authentic life. If you are tired of living in fear and would like to appreciate who you truly are, I am here to help. You are not alone; you don’t have to be ruled by fear; you can thrive in life rather than just survive it.
I have become a zealot for the truth and living life abundantly; it isn’t too late for you to join me. This is my battle cry to challenge you to demand more for yourself. Don’t allow anyone else to author your story, this life is meant to be a choose-your-own-adventure.
And an incredible adventure it shall be...come with me and discover your truth. Join the fight. Hoist the colors. We ride.
Individual therapy can be a great opportunity to work on individual struggles such as self-esteem, anxiety, or depression as well as identifying issues in communication or interactions with others.
Family therapy can be helpful in improving communication and reducing conflict among family members. Family structure and dynamics may frequently change throughout the years, especially during life transitions, and extra support through this process can be beneficial for all members.
Relationship counseling, or couple's therapy, can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their connection, in all stages of their relationship. Helping each partner be heard, understood, and validated allows the couple to learn to communicate, compromise, and conjoin their lives with less conflict.
I have chosen to work on a sliding fee scale based on monthly income and ability to pay. Not everyone has the same financial resources and I don’t believe that quality service and treatment should only be available to those who can afford to pay top dollar. Session fees range from $125-$175 and will be determined at the initial therapy session.
I also provide a discounted rate for individuals who are in college or vocational training and are paying for their own therapy. I have found that these transitional years beyond high school and into adult life can be some of the most stressful, and I’d like to support you in your efforts to invest in yourself and your mental health during this stage of your journey.
Individuals in vocational training programs or college students comprise one of my favorite populations with whom I work. They are often caught in a place of feeling in limbo with crossroads at every turn. I find they frequently feel that they don’t know who they are, and feel poorly equipped to suddenly have “adult life” decisions thrust upon them when they have spent their lives dependent on others and having been told what to do or what not to do. These years can be very overwhelming and I’d like to support you in learning who you truly are and navigating the options for your future.
Fees vary based on session length selected.
Free 30 minute initial consultation: this is a one-time offer prior to beginning therapy services to help determine if I am the best fit for your therapy experience
Standard 50 minute Session: is the standard session length upon which the sliding fee scale is based
Extended 75 minute Session: is a session and a half; is often useful for couples or families; fees are 1.5x determined session fee
Double 100 minute Session: is double the length of a standard therapy session; is often useful for couples or families; fees are 2x determined session fee
